Composite door lock replacement in Walkley, Sheffield

We recently attended a property in Walkley, Sheffield, where the customer wanted to upgrade the lock on their front composite door. The door was fitted with an automatic multipoint locking mechanism, commonly known as a slam-shut lock.  Unlike conventional doors, there is no handle to lift to lock or unlock. Instead, the door locks automatically when closed, and the key unlocks it. These systems are convenient, but they can place additional strain on the key and cylinder, particularly if the door becomes difficult to operate.

Ultion WXM ALPS 3-star lock fitted

We replaced the existing cylinder with a high-security Ultion WXM ALPS 3-star lock which also carries the prestigious Sold Secure Diamond accreditation.

One of the main advantages of Ultion locks is their exceptionally strong keys. They are significantly thicker than conventional keys, making them more resistant to bending or snapping.

This makes the Ultion an excellent choice for automatic locking composite doors, where the key has to do more work than on a traditional lift-to-lock system. The new cylinder also provides advanced protection against lock snapping, drilling and other common methods of forced entry.

Five-Year Ultion security guarantee

The customer now benefits from a high-security cylinder backed by Ultion’s five-year, £5,000 anti-snap security guarantee, subject to registration and the manufacturer’s terms.

As with all our replacement locks, our work also comes with a two-year parts and labour guarantee.

Another composite door lock upgrade in Walkley, Sheffield, providing stronger keys, improved security, and peace of mind.
